Matchbook Issue Three!

The newest issue of Matchbook went live yesterday! Hope you haven't missed it or my lovely illustration of Julia Child on the last page... It's an amazing issue as ever.

What do you think? Are you just as obsessed with Matchbook as I am?

Guess what?! It's almost Friday!

Blue Nails...

Today I am just totally obsessed with the new super blue nail polish I bought at H&M the other day. It is just the most gorgeous shade of cobalt blue, reminding me of summer in the Greek Isles while looking stunning against my hot pink shirt and tan sweater combo and my super fancy gorgeous rings from Triian.

Today I got a few new project assignments I'm excited to start work on... but before I do I am doing a little research and getting some inspiration from some of my art books.

The End

Oh Jillian!

Oh man, have you seen Jillian Tamaki's work? I just discovered this lady's embroidered book cover designs for a few Penguin Classics, and am just stunned. Via Poppytalk. They are sooooo gorgeous, what a dream project. Can only image they took hours and hours to create. I have also taken a peek into her portfolio. Dang this lady has sooo many different drawing styles. She is so versatile.

Just for a giggle

These clever mixed media works by London based artist Aled Lewis just crack me up, I think they'll brighten your day too. See the whole series on his flickr fatheed for more giggles.

Giveaways!

Did you know that I am doing two fabulous giveaways this week at two very lovely blogs? You didn't?! hehe

One is being hosted by the lovely Taylor Sterling on her blog Sterling Style as a promotion for her new online magazine project Glitter Guide. I am super excited that I got to be a part of the girly glittery fun!

The other is being hosted by super sweet Victoria of Vmac & Cheese. She has done a nice little interview with me too, if you would like to learn a little more about me it's a must read. She asked really great questions and I just love how she laid out the blog post so stylishly with all my illustrations.

Why not enter? You might win!

Betsy Walton...

A new work by one of my favorite artists Betsy Walton. I have a pair of her works hanging on my gallery wall, I don't think I'll ever get tired of them. I adore her colors and graphic patterns and their dreamlike quality.

Oh Annika!

One of the artists I discovered at c/o illustration was Paris based Annika Wester from Agency Agent & Artists. She has a girly style similar to mine but with quirky girly characters and a looser more expressive style. I really adore her work especially all the small details.
